I want to dedicate a post to all of the wonderful wedding suppliers who, together, made our day the best one of our lives! We were very lucky in that the day itself ran extremely smoothly and we were blessed with absolutely perfect weather, so combined with our beautifully talented suppliers it was the day we had been dreaming of!

Soon after we got engaged, I was advised that Pinterest is totally the way to go when it comes to starting your wedding planning and getting ideas! I had never really used it before, but when it came to wedding planning it was an absolute life saver! Most importantly for the girly, aesthetic bits such as flowers, hair, make-up, and stationery so lets start with those first!

We chose the wonderful Hannah-Louise flowers. She is a local supplier (in fact her workshop was walking distance from our house) and we loved everything we had seen of her work. Her Instagram is curated beautifully and she just ticked all of our boxes. The photos speak for themselves…

The lovely Shauna King did our hair. She is a best friend of my cousins and I also went to school with her too. As a family friend and a genuinely lovely girl it was a no-brainer! She made us all feel so at ease on the wedding morning due to her fun-loving nature and was also an absolute star in the lead up o the wedding too.

For our make-up I chose Laura-Amy Makeup – another local supplier from my hometown. She had done the wedding make-up of a friend of mine and I love her style so once again she was my first choice! In fact, I also knew her as she got married where I used to work so I helped plan part of her wedding too!

My super talented bridesmaid designed all of our stationery and we couldn’t have been happier with the results.

Read a post specifically on our beautiful invites and the whole design process here.

Music is really important to me so we knew we wanted a variety of performers throughout the day to reflect this. We had so many comments on how brilliant the entertainment was, we were so pleased!

My best friend and bridesmaid Louise, and her lovely Auntie Lynne both played the harp for us in the church.

The Oakwood String Quartet were our choice of quartet and they played throughout the meal. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos! Check out their website here.

For music we chose Jupiter Ray, they actually went to school with my cousin and came highly recommended not only from my cousin but from multiple people I know who had seen or heard them before. Sam sang a beautiful acoustic guitar set for us during the drinks reception, and then the whole band played for us into the night! They are AMAZING. Seriously.

Of course I have to mention the beautiful venue itself…

Our venue was Layer Marney Tower, and it really was a dream venue for us! It is equidistant between where James and I grew up, and the view from the grounds looks over where he proposed! Karen our wedding co-ordinator was fantastic from the start as was Nicholas the owner. When we turned up to the viewing we realised he actually went to school with my dad so our meeting was spent with them reminiscing more than talking about the upcoming wedding! The venue immediately felt comfortable and homely for us which we loved. We did not feel that we were being ‘sold’ a venue. It just felt right.

And of course we must mention the special talented people who have enabled us to keep snippets of the day that we would have otherwise been without…

Our photographer was Will Stedman. As you have already seen throughout this blog post, he can take great photos!!

For our video we chose Twenty Six Films. They have sent us a 4 minute trailer and then a longer video which includes our church service and the speeches. We are so pleased we decided to have a videographer, as to start with we had not planned to.

Have I missed anything? Let me know! Find out what gifts I bought for my bridesmaids here and read about my hen parties here!
